Apartment building on the Varkaus embankment
Petrozavodsk / 2011
"Petrozavodskarkhproekt", Evgeny Frolov, Andrey Vasiliev
An apartment building consists of 4 identical block sections. The dynamics of its composition is achieved both by a volumetric solution (sections are of variable number of storeys, 8-10 floors, and are interconnected by different-height parts), and by the chosen color (each component of the block section received its own bright color, while the volume of the staircase is highlighted in black).
The planning structure of the block section is 3 apartments, grouped around the staircase.
In the decoration of the facade, metal cassettes, fiber-cement painted plates and profiled sheets were used; the plinth is faced with artificial stone. The interiors of the floor halls and the staircase are designed using colors and, in part, materials similar to the façade ones.

On the ground floors there are sports and recreation complexes and office premises. The height of the clean living floor is 2.7 m, the height of the first floor is 3.3 m. The house is equipped with underground parking for 23 cars.
Townhouse in the village "Karpov Pond"
Chelyabinsk / 2014
"Axio", Petr Kachaev, Kirill Kugaevsky
The task was to place on a 1600 m2 plot of the maximum area of a residential building not higher than 3 floors with stained-glass windows and an abundance of wood in the decoration. At the initial stage of the work, the idea came up to solve the main facade as a composition of three "units" of wood siding.
Since the site has a height difference of up to 2.5 m, it was decided to make exits to the main facade and the facade from the side of the courtyard from the basement and first floors, respectively.
The building is made of hollow bricks, with reinforced concrete ceilings, insulation - 10 cm polystyrene, roof - wooden. External finishing: Ceresit plaster, thermosiding - meranti wood, natural stone.
Apart-hotel "Velich"
Moscow region, Odintsovsky district, Suponevo village / 2014
"Architectural workshop of Yuri Groshev", Yuri Groshev
Description of architects:
“The apart-hotel was built in the Velich cottage village of the Odintsovo municipal district of the Moscow region. At the time of monumental buildings with bright curtain facades and inviting stained-glass windows, when the scale of projects and buildings is measured by PPT (land-planning projects), architecture of tranquility and comfort should have its place. We tried to fit the new volume into the existing image of the village. Fired brick decoration, textured plaster of residential cottages and the restrained style of large windows and planes of the neighboring country club contributed to the creation of a new image.
A scenario of hotel accommodation was developed together with the customer. Check-in by car (each number has its own parking space in the parking lot of the lower level), from there there is a passage directly to the reception, where the distribution to the buildings takes place. The connection of the buildings with the restaurant, and the restaurant with the courtyard and with the outdoor cafe - everything found its place in the composition of the volume.
In order not to disturb the comfort of residents of adjacent cottages, the entrance area, along with the parking lot and the lobby, is located further and below street level. Three cases on a stylobate create a special coziness by simple means.
We also wanted to preserve the old trees growing on the site. The trees remained in place with their soil layer, and due to the difference in ground level and stylobate, it was possible to illuminate the inside of the parking lot through light wells.
The hotel's top floor has decked terraces. Each terrace has a magnificent view of the tiled roofs.
Some rooms have small balconies with flower girls as a reminder of the small-town lifestyle. On the top floor there is a fireplace room and a fitness room.
Flat roofs are given over to a solar panel system. In the lobby, a panel shows what percentage of electricity is provided by the sun."
