We have already said that the theme of Archstoyanie, which will take place from July 21 to 23 in Nikola-Lenivets, is “How to live?”. Architects and artists were asked to create a prototype space for living (PJ).
Authors should not be guided by any generally accepted standards, but the festival manifesto still contains 9 rules:
- PJ is intended for the residence of one social, family or any other unit or small group.
- PJ should not be uniform, but should be consistent with the values and spirit of its creator.
- The outer form may not be a reflection of the inner structure.
- The dynamism of modern life dictates the mobility of PJ and the ability to move.
- PJ should not burden the earth with a complex foundation arrangement and affect the biological processes occurring in the soil.
- PJ must meet weather conditions, maintaining a comfortable temperature for life - both in summer and in winter.
- The LJ should fit organically into the context of the terroir (local skills, materials and landscape) and as a flagship point on the global cultural map.
- PJ should dispose and inspire the inhabitant to carry out their life performance.
- The dimensions of the PJ should not exceed 4 m by 4 m and 5.5 meters in height.
Whether the installations of the participants will meet the specified requirements - visitors will be able to see during the festival. In the meantime, we will introduce you to their concepts.
