The Archidni festival and the Archives competition in the Yasno Pole eco-park made it possible to get acquainted with an unusual territory filled with architectural works and art objects. The program of the festival consisted of a tour of the eco-park, a discussion about a modular house, a talk show "Bridge to a Dream", a clause, during which participants created graphic and literary sketches of bridges, lectures and discussions about wooden houses. The culmination was the awarding ceremony for the winners of Arkhivyzov.

Prime mover

The impressions from the festival are the most positive. And, perhaps, the most vivid impression - from the person who invented all this, raised and arranged it. Dmitry Cherepkov, President of NAYADA, which manufactures furniture and office partitions. Originally from Chita, he graduated from a physics and mathematics school in Novosibirsk, then MVTU im. N. E. Bauman, created a successful furniture business in 1995 and took off. And so two years ago, according to him, “I decided to do something that could live independently”.

I asked him what "Yasno Pole" is for him - business or patronage. And he answered with a question: "What is a city?" - This is a kind of miracle that self-regulates and lives independently, connects people. Clear Field has a similar goal, only here nature is added. Recreation, healthy eating, creativity, education, the introduction of eco-technologies in architecture and agriculture.

Territory

Territory "Yasno Pole" - 400 hectares; it has two directions of development: an eco-farm and agritourism in half with educational activities. This is agricultural land in the Tula region, in a beautiful landscape called the Clear Mountains. A lot of things have appeared here in two years. Hotel-Teplitsa with geothermal heating and solar collectors, where vegetables are grown all year round, and a hotel with a restaurant where you can taste these vegetables and dairy products from the eco-farm. The house-ark, on the ground floor of which there are a cowshed and a stable (I was lucky enough to stroke August's horse and Kudryasha the mare).

The second floor of the ark houses a theater, yoga studios and hotel rooms. As befits the ark, in it or next to it there are all sorts of different animals and birds: goats, llama …; some of the birds tried to fly into the room to the guests. A cheese dairy is being built nearby, which will open in 3 months, but the production of cheese already exists. The greenhouse, ark and cheese dairy were designed by the owner of the estate. Theater workshops "Fox", "Guslitsa" come here, periodically other educational events for children, including Orthodox, Catholic and Jewish, are held here. A huge number of children's objects have been created for children: swings, nets, climbing frames and other developmental simulators.

Adding the herd

In order to accommodate all this beautiful, no less beautiful architecture is needed. Actually, the festival began with the fact that the owners, Dmitry and Regina Cherepkov, took a tour of the architectural and art objects. To the existing here Ivan Ovchinnikov's Double-House, Olzhas Kuzembaev's Cuboid, Vladimir Kuzmin's Yabloko and Portal, and many others this year, Vladimir Kuzmin's guest houses-bulls, more precisely an orange bull and two cows: black-orange and brown …

According to the author Vladimir Kuzmin, "Dom-Korova" is a living space on metal supports - "legs", with a lowered "head" - a porch, "horns" - pipes and an "udder" - a hammock. One of them is decorated with tinted board and painted metal for the roof, while for the other, two shades of soft tiles are used, creating the necessary spotting of the "cow". “Dom-Byk” is a two-level living space with a double-height space inside, it can accommodate a company for 10-12 people; with "horns" - pipes and a porch - "tail". The "sides" and "belly" are sewn up with wood, the "back" - the roof is made in painted metal, but everything is united by a single bright color. Orange - as this is the author's favorite color and the color Clear Field. " Like cows, the bull has primary sexual characteristics - a swing in the form of hemispheres under the "belly".

The Yasnopolsk herd became the highlight of the program. The guests, about a hundred people, were divided into parties and examined the interiors, and they swayed on swings and hammocks under the cows for two days.

Since it is easier to coordinate light structures on agricultural lands than fundamental ones, Dmitry Cherepkov plans to build a whole park of modular houses in Yasno Pole. What he said, opening the discussion. The topic was discussed by architect Alexei Rosenberg, architect Natalya Brailovskaya ("House-Ark") and architect Sergei Syrenov. The audience consisted mainly of young architects who took part in the competition for the modular house, their friends, children, and dogs. Elena Petukhova asked the participants to give a portrait of the customer of the modular house. Who is it? Alexey Rosenberg suggested that this is a protesting young man who left his parents. Sergey Syrenov defined a modular house as a good architecture accessible to ordinary people. And Natalya Brailovskaya, who left big architecture and founded a company for the design of modular houses, told the details. Many people like that everything is thought out, communications are on, and people say: “Will it be like in the picture? Ok, wrap it up. " Others ask to move something, and architects do it. A house, or a bathhouse, or a guest block can be folded from 6x2.5 m modules transported in a trailer. Forty-five square meters without a foundation cost 1,550,000 rubles, and 100 m2 –350,000 rubles. A lot or a little - here opinions diverged. Samostroy is cheaper and some people need it for self-expression, while 3.5 million is the price of a good car. We agreed that a modular house is an architect's dream both as an author and as a consumer, because you have to think once, and then the principle of the car works: there is a basic configuration and options, each of which makes a profit.

Talk show "Bridge to a Dream"

After a dinner of farm products at Vladimir Kuzmin's long table, which seats more than 100 people, an entertaining talk show between Nikolai Malinin and Timur Bashkaev about bridges took place.

Malinin played the role of Manilov, a beautiful-minded Gogol dreamer: with his words that it would be nice to build a bridge with a gazebo from which Moscow can be seen, Kolya began the presentation. And Bashkaev played the role of a harsh practitioner criticizing Malinin's ideas-examples. For example, regarding the famous project of the bridge with Atlantes by Konstantin Melnikov across the Seine, Timur said briefly that it was not feasible. And about the Nikolai Belousov bridge across the ravine - that this is not a bridge, but a bridge. The bridge with a red arch across the Moskva River by Nikolai Shumakov was approved, because "it is difficult to make cables along the length, and across it is excellent, but the cradle is not compatible with the bridge." About his own "Bridge to a Dream" on the Ugra River, leading to the sky, Timur said that the bridge would not have fallen from the wind if the wind bracing had not been stolen from it. And discussing the Norman Foster Millennium Bridge in London, which was closed due to vibration and additionally strengthened, Timur and Nikolai changed places. Bashkaev defended Foster's bold designs, because "bridges are being made at the limit of the achievements of civilization, and it is impossible to calculate until the end of the hesitation."

I don't know who I am, but I hold on

The inspiring talk show smoothly flowed into the bridges clause, which was held by the representatives of the Horses on the Balcony group. It was attended by 23 young architects. The form of the clause was unusual. The participants sat over a ravine (the length of the log is 4 km, where Dmitry Cherepkov is planning a park of bridges - art objects, a competition for them will be launched in the fall). They were asked not only to draw sketches, but also to compose literary portraits of the bridges. Moreover, the participants changed tasks, and one completed the text of the other, completed the sketch of the third. Coming up with associations was required quickly, so as not to leave room for reflection. The next day, there was a presentation of sketches and texts on behalf of the bridges, into which the architects were reincarnated. It was like this: "I feel like I have swallowed a boa constrictor"; “I strive upward”, “I hold on to the edges of the cliff with my hands, rest my feet on the cold sand”, “I don’t know who I am, but I’m holding on.”

Archives 2017

According to Dmitry Cherepkov, it is planned to build at least 40 different modular houses for guests and gazebos for rest in Yasno-Pole. The goal of the "Archives" competition is to collect ideas for the future. Small objects, which took first places, will be built in the near future, and modular houses will be finalized. The jury members, architects Yuliy Borisov, Vladimir Kuzmin and Timur Bashkaev spoke before the awarding ceremony. They praised the projects and the competition because, as Yuliy Borisov admitted, an architect has three obligatory genres: chair, doorknob and modular house. The jury also included Dmitry Cherepkov, Sergey Tchoban, Ivan Ovchinnikov, Elena Petukhova, Totan Kuzembaev, Anton Kochurkin, Oleg Panitkov. Then the awarding ceremony took place.

Nikolay Malinin and Alexey Rosenberg

Nikolai Malinin's lecture "The evolution of the hut" was read the next day and gathered a "full audience". Under an awning, on benches made of straw briquettes, in the fresh air, wrapped in blankets, the people listened to the serious material collected by the speaker. Only the first picture was funny: a hut in Prostokvashino, in which the cartoon characters Uncle Fyodor, a dog and a cat live. Then came the wooden houses of Rossi, Stakenschneider and Ton. Then the dachas of the creative intelligentsia, which arose, so to speak, on the ruins of a noble estate and "felled cherry orchards." These dachas were designed by Art Nouveau architects Shekhtel, Kekushev and many others, as well as the owners themselves, for example, Ilya Evfimovich Repin. Many subjects were touched upon: the crisis of the hut as a stronghold of "humiliating" life after the 1917 revolution. Change of the heavy spirit of the hut to a dacha with a veranda for relaxation, commemorated from Mikhalkov's film Burnt by the Sun. Soviet wooden houses of Zholtovsky, Shchusev, Markovnikov in the villages "Sokol", "Kratovo", "Zheleznodorozhny". Architectural dachas of Melnikov, Ginzburg, Vesnin, Leonidov, Noah Trotsky. Writers 'and professors' dachas in the village of NIL. And, of course, the types of modern wooden architecture, the propagandist and chronicler of which Nikolai Malinin has been for several years: the wooden chopped modernism of Nikolai Belousov and Alexander Ermolaev, the passeism of Alexander Brodsky, the avant-garde tree of Totan Kuzembaev. And much more. The conversation was joined by the heroes of wooden architecture, who were present on the stage and in the hall.

Alexey Rosenberg unexpectedly spoke about the sacred structure of the house: about the red corner and the dark side, about being strung on the world axis, about the southeastern parts of the house open to the world, in which you find yourself while you feel good, and about the closed northern ones, where you hide when you need to build up strength. He illustrated this with examples of his buildings: the house "Cherny Khutor" and the house in Dukhanino. The people listened with their mouths open. Alexey very accurately and clearly explained how architecture or open space affects a person, what buffers should be built between a person and space, and what an architect should do. The conversation, which arose spontaneously, turned out to be deep and meaningful. After listening to all this, Dmitry Cherepkov decided to order a new book for Nikolai Malinin.

In addition to the serious program, there was an evening bonfire, songs with a guitar and dances in a disco with headphones, workshops for children and communication with horses and llamas, swimming in a pond and walks.

For children and about children, the Second ArchiDay turned out to be very bright and bright. After the presentation of the results of the architectural game and the children's workshop, the discussion “Children's worlds. Development and recreation sites. New Ideas and Formats”, which was attended by architects: Bella Filatova from the Druzhba bureau, Maria Pomelova from the Chekhard bureau and Ilya Mukosey, the chief architect of the PlanAR bureau; having extensive experience in the development of new methods and approaches to the design and equipment of children's play areas, as well as the improvement of courtyards in modern residential complexes.

For the Yasno Pole Ecopark, the topic of children's developmental programs and spaces is especially relevant - this is one of the main directions of its development. For its young guests, Ecopark creates an infrastructure of pavilions for classes and unusual playgrounds, which are designed to help children of different ages invent games for themselves and master each element of the site in accordance with the invented plot. Similar platforms and concepts are being implemented all over the world and, more recently, in Russia.

The participants in the discussion discussed in detail the reasons for the emergence of new types of children's spaces and methods that they themselves developed and successfully use when creating both courtyards and play areas in parks and a recreation area. They are based on cooperation with specialists from related fields: child psychologists, educators, sociologists and game experts. But most importantly, the active involvement of children in the creation of projects and approbation of developed solutions. The architects themselves call this method, a variant of participatory design. The creativity and effectiveness of this method has been proven empirically during ArchDays. The Horses on the Balcony group organized a workshop, during which the children themselves, under the guidance of the chief architects of the site Alisa Mamaeva and Daria Alekseenko, came up with a playground, built it and, at the same time, learned to use tools and work in a team.
