A football stadium for 12,500 fans has been built in the Tuilers sports complex in the north of Lausanne, where there are already nine football fields. It seems to open this "ensemble" for the visitor from the city side, therefore public space and the interaction of the building with the environment are important in the project.

The compact site made the architects save space. The way out was the cut corners of the stadium: they freed up space for visitors to the matches, moreover, they created a transition zone between the arena and the surroundings protected from rain and sun. It is from the corners that the main entrances are located, allowing you to see the football field itself and part of the stands from the outside.

The use of concrete gives the structure a plastic expressiveness: the corners themselves are made of it, visually united by the concrete basement floor. At the top, they are connected to the ring girders that complete the structure of the stadium, helping them withstand the load.

In addition to the spectacular corners, the stadium looks quite utilitarian from the outside: its appearance is determined by the back side of the stands. Only from the west, behind the undulating curtain wall of glass, hide various changing rooms, press and VIP rooms.

A gallery is laid on top of the stands, which makes it easier for spectators to move around the stadium; in addition, there are views not only of the field, but also of the city, Lake Geneva and the Alps.
