Near the metro station "Oktyabrskaya", which is a newly discovered monument, there is now a temporary pavilion of Russian-Georgian fast food "Dom Satsivi" (Leninsky Prospect, 2). The customers are going to make the cafe capital, reducing its area by half - to 300 sq. M (OOO Metroproekt-M, architect T. Sh. Svanidze). The pre-project proposal was agreed, but the architectural solution will be considered first at the Moscow Committee for Architecture and then again at the meeting of the OERG.
In Stremyanny Pereulok, on the territory of strict regulation of development, the Presidential Property Management Department is going to build a utility center for its own service (LLC AB ES Rusakova, AV Ignatov, architect VP Shalyavsky). Near the site of the proposed development there is a monument - the Museum of Sergei Yesenin, “which has already experienced its birth more than once” - that is, it was simply newly built anew in the form of a concrete dummy, which is why it did not lose the status of a monument. Due to the proximity to the poet's museum, after a landscape-visual analysis, the project of the building was lowered by the managerial staff by two floors with an upper elevation of 28 meters; in addition, the new building must be at least six meters away from the museum.
Now the authors have submitted for consideration two versions of the project - lower and higher - in each of which two volumes, adjoining each other at an angle, form "wings" for a small wooden house, standing along the red line of the street. However, during the design of this complex, a large office of the MIAN agency was outlined in place of a small wooden house - so the "wings" in the end turned out to be equal to the "actor". As the representatives of the customer said, the projected center will have dry cleaners, various household services and rooms for storing fur coats … In addition, as it turned out during the discussion, in the complex (17 thousand sq. M), in addition to the service sector itself, 4 thousand more are planned. sq.m. investment construction offices - what surprised the experts: "does the Presidential Property Management Department need investors to build?" The representatives of the customer were asked to bring an administrative document, which, moreover, would clarify where exactly such volumes came from. The co-chairman of the group, Yuri Gromchenko, describing the urban planning situation in this area, where many large new buildings have already been agreed, suggested that when determining the dimensions, proceed from the calculations of the traffic passability of the streets - with which all those present agreed. As a result, the "smaller" version was taken as a basis, which was sent for revision according to the comments.
The project for the construction of new buildings for the Russian State Library (RSL, "Leninki") has existed since Soviet times, when a competition was held and the winner was announced - but it was not possible to build an additional complex. Now the construction project has been resumed. The new building of the RSL will be located on the site of the Cathedral of the Exaltation of the Monastery of the end of the 17th century, demolished in 1934, across the street from the building of Voentorg, which has already been demolished in our time, north of the territory of the Museum of Architecture. It is assumed that this will be a large complex with three levels of underground parking, almost equal in height to the main library complex, and that it will be occupied by a book depository. At the meeting, a preliminary design was considered, so the subject of discussion was the general parameters of the building, however, on the shown sweeps, a variant of the architectural solution already appeared (LLC EPI "Mosproekt-5", architect SB Tkachenko). The new book depository of the RSL looks impressive and consists of several large and weakly dissected volumes. Some of them are opaque and straight, others are glass, strongly leaning to the side, like books loosely standing on a shelf. The accumulation of simple stereometric forms salutes Vozdvizhenka Street, high, in the height of the Talyzin estate, with a likeness of the Shchuko and Gelfreich portico, consisting of four thin square supports and the same entablature.
According to the data of the landscape-visual analysis of 2004, the height of the book depository building was limited to thirty meters. Being inscribed within the constraints, the volume of the complex is clearly visible from everywhere, and, according to experts, does not correspond to the layout of the quarter. Aleksey Klimenko proposed to conduct an archaeological analysis of the area of the former monastery before construction began. In addition, a shallow metro line "Filevskaya" runs underground in this place and therefore it is necessary to discuss it with Metrogiprotrans.
As a result, it was decided to present the project at the Methodological Council of the Ministry of Culture, in which the chief archaeologist of Moscow Alexander Veksler takes part; then it will be submitted to the Public Council under the mayor of Moscow.
