Sergey Skuratov was named the next year's architect.

There is only one architect of the year, and there are many awards for the exposition at Arch Moscow, among them there are many architectural expositions, which in essence replace architectural diplomas of the second and third degrees. This year there were three groups of such diplomas: for the "Quarterly question", for an architectural exposition on the second floor and for a model. On the Quarterly Question, the opinions of the Arch of Moscow jury diverged so much that everyone chose completely different quarters. As a result, the main diploma was received by Yuri Grigoryan (Project Meganom) for the project of Kiev "Arsenal Palace" (which participated in one custom competition with the project shown here by Sergey Skuratov), the second - "Vitruvius and Sons" for the project of a residential building in St. Petersburg, the third DNA for the project of PARK quarter in Adler.

The main diploma in the architectural exposition was received by Vlad Savinkin and Vladimir Kuzmin for the stand, which consisted of four different parts - a large bronze, like a monument, a model, a monitor with a video clip, a very finely executed object made of rusty iron and a white "wing" on a wooden frame, which, as is often the case with the Savinkin / Kuzmin exhibitions, dominated the interior of the architectural exposition of the second floor. The main diploma for the exposition of the commercial part went to the same architects - they awarded the stand of the DuPont Corian company, which was also designed by Savinkin / Kuzmin. The stand is really noticeable - it is a forest of multi-colored Corian plates bent in different directions.

The second degree diploma was awarded to studio ARX 4, whose stand is located directly opposite the Savinkin / Kuzmin exposition and consists of a strange but attractive structure - a black rectangle with glittering illumination inside, raised high on very thin legs. The third diploma went to BRT RUS (a joint architectural company of the German architect Hadi Tehrani and Inteko) for an exposition that is really noticeable and expensive, but built on the secondary use of models (again expensive), already shown as a minimum at the city council. BRT representatives, receiving their diploma, optimistically promised to build a lot in Moscow and receive many more diplomas, but did not arouse the audience's enthusiasm. Now BRT is designing a complex on the banks of the river. Setun and (for a long time, since 2005) - the tower on "Profsoyuznaya".

Another type of architecture diploma was called "design object", although it was awarded for architectural models. They wanted to call this nomination "an architectural model as an object", but apparently somehow it did not work out, and it was left as a design object. The architects were somehow joylessly receiving awards for the models, and the owner of the third degree diploma, Yuri Vissarionov, simply readdressed the award, saying, "our designers tried hard." However, it must be admitted that it is precisely the models that make the architectural exposition noticeable and spectacular, and this nomination in its current form should be considered as another award for the exposition. The jury awarded a diploma of the first degree to Timur Bashkaev's objects - two towers of complex shape, assembled from hardboard plates and glowing from the inside, and the ADM model (Andrey Romanov and Ekaterina Kuznetsova) - probably the most thorough of the Moscow Arch models: it consists of images of several ADM projects, carefully and meticulously executed in wood.

Diplomas for non-commercial expositions were divided into two parts, two diplomas each. One half was given for installations - here, quite rightly, Archstoyania's Noah's Ark (Julia Bychkova and Anton Kochurkin) and Persimfans were awarded. The curator of this latter, director of the Museum of Architecture David Sargsyan, came to the ceremony just at the moment when one of the active participants and co-organizers of this wonderful exhibition received a diploma from the hands of the jury with a promise to deliver it to the addressee as soon as possible. A solemn transfer of diplomas took place here, after which David Sargsyan informed the audience that he was not late at all, and also that his role as a curator was minimal and that the “orchestra” of architects gathered in the Ruin wing is quite capable of playing the symphony on its own.

For the research, also very rightly, the project “Shrinking Cities” (curated by Sergei Sitar) was awarded - representing a very complex and multidimensional research on a very sad topic; The exhibition at Arch Moscow for this project is the third in a row, the first was in Berlin, the second in St. Petersburg. The second award for research was a project by curators Elena Gonzalez and Elena Nikulina, dedicated to two communal houses (exhibited in the Pharmaceutical Order of the Museum of Architecture). Elena Gonzalez denied the research nature of the project, saying that it was a photographic project by Alexei Naroditsky.

The final chord was the awarding of the curator Bart Goldhorn - the man on whose efforts the transformation of the Arch of Moscow into the Biennale was largely built.
