The Nuremberg Exhibition Center was built in the 1960s and today is one of the largest "Mass" in Germany. Twelve of its pavilions with a total area of more than 150 thousand square meters are located around the exhibition park, which has several entrances. The reconstruction of the main entrance was started by the administration of the complex for several reasons: firstly, it was required to increase its capacity, secondly, to supplement it with a spacious conference room and, finally, to give it a memorable landmark shape that will help visitors quickly find it with their eyes from any points of the park.

The role of such a reference point is played by a triangular snow-white roof with a total area of 12,500 square meters, "recruited" from individual flake-plates. Supported by 12 concrete pillars, it rises into the sky to a height of 17 meters, making its white wedge clearly visible from any exhibition pavilion. The space covered by this structure remains mostly undeveloped - this is the area in front of the entrance to the exhibition complex, where different streams of visitors intersect, including those who arrived by metro, buses, electric trains and private cars.

The central entrance lobby is displaced under the widest part of the "triangle". This volume faces the exhibition park with a completely transparent facade, and on the second floor there is a universal conference hall for 1,100 seats. From the territory of "Messe Nuremberg" it can be accessed via an open wide staircase.
