The competition was launched in September 2014, in December the jury announced the interim results and sent the projects of the three finalists for revision. In early February, the organizers announced the winner of the competition and announced three final projects. We are publishing the final rating of the finalists.
The design site (3-ya Magistralnaya St., 18) is located one and a half kilometers from Moscow-City, next to Zvenigorodskoe highway, and is surrounded by the industrial zone "Magistralny streets". Nearby - the railway station "Presnya-commodity". ***
First place
TPO "Reserve" (Russia)

The idea of turning the logos of the Sportmaster and 'O'stin' companies into prototypes of both the volumetric-spatial solution of their office buildings and the design of their facades is simple, laconic and elegant. It is enough to look at the sketches of the search for "form and image" and a lot becomes clear: the dynamics of volumes, the repetition of elements and delicately thought-out rhythmic accents. The stylized running man set the coordinate system for the “flying” volumes of Sportmaster, but the letter logo “O'stin” formulated a strict rectangular volume of the second block, stopping the rapid movement of his vis-à-vis. It is easy to see that in comparison with the project of the first round, the volume of Sportmaster's office has changed somewhat: if earlier in its lower part one could see a figure that almost literally resembled the company's logo, now the whole building is likened to the image of a running man: it seems that the trellised top slides over the glass bottom ramp.
The same basic shapes borrowed from the logos: the stylized legs of a running man "Spormaster" and the red dot 'O'stin' - became the basis for the ornament covering the facades - the drawings interpenetrate and reflect, turning the material of the walls into a movable decoration that changes along the movement viewer. The corporate style, as is customary in such cases, is also actively used in the design of interior spaces.
The two buildings are separated by passage 1 of Magistralniy dead end, the main entrances are located opposite each other and are separated by fifty-eight meters of street space. The entrances for heavy vehicles, on the contrary, are hidden from view and do not interfere with the perception of the facades.
Second place
UNK project (Russia)

Two inclined, slightly faceted glass parallelepipeds became, according to the architects' idea, a figurative embodiment of the dynamics of successful development of companies, their coordinated purposeful movement forward.
The dynamics of the composition is enhanced by the fact that clearly structured externally and internally office blocks are raised on V-shaped supports not on the stylobate part, but above, above it. This creates additional panoramic views that allow the new complex to be intensively integrated into the adjacent urban spaces. Panoramic glazing works for the same idea, on the one hand, dissolving newly emerging volumes in familiar urban landscapes, on the other hand, drawing these same landscapes into office interiors - according to the authors' intention, the ensemble should set the vector for the further development of the territory.

Aukett Swanke (Great Britain, Moscow branch)

Two thin plates flank the panorama of the Moscow City. In the evening lighting, the impression is enhanced: the front surfaces of the plates remain cold-gray, while the end surfaces glow with a warm pinkish-yellow light.
When approaching, it becomes obvious that not two plates are working here, but a pair of almost identical trapezoidal volumes, solved as two halves of a whole. This formalizes the visual image of a single business, divided into two parts for more efficient management. And the key elements of the concept are narrowed ends, the very ones that turn into a luminous frame of pre-dawn panoramas, and interior display-windows, the corners of which are cut. That allows you to avoid the effect of "boxes" and hide the real volume of buildings behind narrow "edges".
