On December 25, in the big hall of the Architectural Council in the building of the Moskomarkhitektura, the results of the exhibition-competition organized by the ICA were summed up. A few days earlier, on January 21, the nominees for this award were announced - a total of 25 projects in 6 categories. At the second stage of the competition, the jury, which included members of the Archcouncil, chose six winners from among them. In addition to commemorative diplomas, they received statuettes specially made for this event in the shape of the letter "M" - the symbol of the Arch Council. The ceremony was moderated by the editor-in-chief of the Speech magazine: Anna Martovitskaya. In the usually austere and quiet hall on this day, on the eve of the New Year, a festive atmosphere reigned, in the foyer they were treated to champagne, congratulations and New Year's wishes sounded from the rostrum. But, in addition to traditional solemn speeches, children added a special warmth to the ceremony: the announcement of the winner in each nomination was preceded by a video with the children’s reasoning about what they want schools, kindergartens, clinics, houses, courtyards and shopping centers in their city to look like.
The chief architect of Moscow, Sergei Kuznetsov, noted that only the most important projects for the city are considered at the Architectural Council, and his prize is intended to encourage the most successful of them. In addition, according to Kuznetsov, such events can change the image of the Arch Council, which is still considered by many to be a boring bureaucratic body. The further ceremony and the words of gratitude expressed by the architects and developers confirmed that this image has already changed. Most of the laureates noted the significant role of the Arch Council in their work on the projects and the significant contribution to it by Sergei Kuznetsov himself.
Let us remind you that the Prize, which has now become annual, is being held for the third time. All projects of 2015 approved by the council, including those considered at working meetings, could claim victory this year - and this is about a thousand objects.

Nomination "The best architectural and urban planning solution for an object of education and medicine"
A preschool educational institution as part of a sports-oriented IFC on Volokolamsk highway.

On Volokolamskoe highway, in the Pokrovskoe-Streshnevo area, not far from the Spartak stadium, the architectural bureau TPO Reserve has designed a comfort-class quarter as part of a project to develop the territory of the former Tushino airfield. The kindergarten, which received the main award of the Archcouncil, is part of this project. A small but spectacular three-storey building with a total area of more than 3.5 thousand square meters is designed for 220 children. In addition to the standard set of premises, the building also provides a swimming pool, fitness and music halls, universal classrooms for the work of circles. An expressive image is formed thanks to a complex stepped shape with varying heights and a bright striped "suit" made of multicolored vertical slats. The vertical rhythm of colored facade panels develops the theme of the graphic solution of the entire residential area.

Residential complex on Presnensky Val.

The residential complex is being built on the territory of the former Krasnaya Presnya plant on an area of about 3 hectares. The complex is a large residential area formed by multi-storey buildings with a height of 7, 10, 12 and 14 floors. The change in elevation forms an interesting silhouette, which is important given the location of the facility in the center of Moscow. The sections - and there are 13 in total - are arranged in such a way that an almost completely enclosed courtyard is separated from the public street space. The first floors are occupied by small shops, pharmacies, cafes. Despite a very limited budget, the project managed to achieve brightness and variety in the solution of facades, combining rich terracotta and light colors. Plastics added glazed "thermometers" for balconies and loggias, in some places offset from each other.
Currently, the project is nearing completion.

Residential complex "Zilart" on Avtozavodskaya street.

The residential complex, designed by Alexander Tsimailo and Nikolai Lyashenko, is part of a large-scale project for the complex development of the territory of the former Likhachev automobile plant, in which many foreign and Russian architectural firms have been involved. The total area of the reconstruction site in the Danilovsky District, on the banks of the Moskva River, is more than 65 hectares. All residential buildings on the peninsula are designed in a unified manner, but each site has its own unique features. Thus, the complex of buildings developed by the Tsimailo, Lyashenko and Partners workshop consists of four buildings of variable number of storeys - from 6 to 14 floors, united by a stylobate. Designed in warm terracotta tones with the use of clinker bricks of various shades, it stands out for its unusual stained glass glazing. Elongated oval, square and polygonal window openings are supported by the pattern of the facades in the blank parts of the buildings.

Business center on Volokolamskoe highway.

The business center is part of the Tushino-2018 project, which involves the integrated development of the territory of the former Tushino airport in the north-west of Moscow. This is one of the central buildings of the new development, and it occupies an area of more than 2 hectares. It is placed on a narrow base, which holds the open "wings" -console. On top of an almost entirely glass 10-storey volume of complex shape, a diagonal grating is applied, covering not only the walls, but also the roof of the building with large elongated rhombuses. The latter are intended to remind about the logo of Spartak, whose stadium is also located on the territory of the airfield.

MFC "ALKON III" on Leningradsky prospect.

The multifunctional complex "Alkon III", made by the architectural bureau "Evgeny Gerasimov and Partners", develops the style of Stalin's skyscrapers. According to the Architectural Council, which, in fact, recommended the development of a variant with a high-rise tower "in accordance with the historical development", this style of the building is quite suitable for Leningradsky Prospekt, where construction is planned to begin in the spring. The height of the tower together with the spire is over 150 meters. For decoration, mainly natural light stone is used. The tower is slightly shifted inland. The front of the street forms a low administrative block.

Shopping and entertainment center "Metropolis" on the Leningradskoe highway.

The MTK Metropolis-2 project on Leningradskoe Shosse is the result of long-term work by several architectural bureaus. Western designers started (DunnettCraven), followed by Russian ones. The main difficulty was the location of the site - near a busy highway, a railway and the Voykovskaya metro station with a large passenger traffic - therefore it was important to organize the safe movement of pedestrians. The result is a long footbridge that runs over the tracks from the railroad station to the shopping mall. The center itself is designed in a restrained style, corresponding to the surrounding buildings. Both the height and the articulations were picked up. A wide cornice crowning the building completes the resemblance. At the same time, the complex is designed in modern materials, and the almost completely glass facade is lined with vertical brass lamellas.

It is planned to build a kindergarten for 350 children with fourteen playgrounds, a jogging track, and a platform for observing wildlife on the site along Dmitrovskoye Highway. The symmetrical building is designed in the form of an extended volume with protruding blocks of group cells. The active introduction of bright colors enlivens the general appearance of the building, recalling its function.

The school has a variable number of storeys and has an L-shaped plan with one elongated wing and a courtyard. The building has classrooms, recreation facilities, an assembly hall for 535 seats, a spacious lobby, etc.

The main volume of the building departs from the red line, leaving a small green area in front of it. The 6-storey wing facing the street houses the adult clinic, and the lower wing houses the children's clinic. The building is finished with a ventilated facade with fiber cement, composite and aluminum panels painted in dim colors.

The building is located on an area of complex shape and consists of three different-storey rectangular volumes cut into each other. For decoration, a ventilated facade made of fiber cement panels, painted in mass, is used. It is planned to build the latest engineering ventilation and heating systems in the building.

The project of a 3-storey kindergarten was developed for the conditions of dense urban development. It is a simple rectangular volume for 10 groups with a small adjacent territory and playgrounds. The ventilated facades, clad with fiber cement slabs, have a restrained light beige color scheme, chosen with an eye to the surroundings with a fragmentary introduction of red, orange and gray.

The school, located on the same territory of the Greenhouse Complex in New Moscow as the kindergarten, repeats its style and color palette. However, the lines are sharper here, the drawing is stricter, and the building itself is much larger.

The complex development project is planned to be implemented on the territory of New Moscow. The first stage includes eight sections of residential buildings that form a semi-closed quarter. In addition to housing, construction of a school and a kindergarten is envisaged on the territory.

The complex is supposed to be built on a site with good transport accessibility - near the Varshavskoe highway and the Moscow Ring Road. Compositionally, it is a series of multi-storey towers of a simple rectangular shape and the same height. For the residential complex, 11 variants of apartment layouts have been developed, including studios.

This is a large residential complex with 916 apartments. The maximum height of the towers is 26 floors. Massive cubic volumes are stacked on top of each other with a spectacular "dangerous" offset. For decoration, dark decorative bricks, plaster inserts, metal panels are used.

The residential quarter is a square, consisting of two parallel extended 22-25-storey buildings, united by a public stylobate. Thus, a courtyard with playgrounds and landscaping is formed inside the quarter. In their project, the authors abandon the plastic of balconies, loggias and bay windows. Smooth facades are enlivened by an active geometric pattern.

The administrative and business center is located between Kaluzhskoe highway and Kommunarka. It consists of two 7-storey buildings, interconnected by the volume of the entrance group. The architectural image, which speaks eloquently about the status and significance of the object, is formed by stained glass windows and elements of architectural concrete.

The facility is located on the territory of the Luzhniki Olympic Complex adjacent to the Third Transport Ring. It consists of two free-standing volumes. The main building is a glass 7-storey volume, divided from the side of the park by courtyards into three parts. The facade facing the Third Transport Ring and the ends of the building are covered with natural stone slats, pylons and shutters.

A compact 3-storey building with prominent modern architecture is expected to be built in the midst of a typical residential area. The volumetric-spatial solution is dictated exclusively by functional necessity. Inside are social service departments and administrative offices. The entrance to the building is organized from the side of a cozy courtyard under a canopy made of translucent structures.

The shopping center is located at the intersection of General Kuznetsov and Aviakonstruktora Mil streets, opposite the Zhulebino metro station. In front of the building, there is a large landscaped area connecting the entrances to the metro and the shopping center. The main facade of the shopping center, facing this square, resembles a portal, highlighted in bright red.
