Gateway to Kvarnbaken park

However, in recent decades, people have become more likely to spend time in shopping malls or in front of computer screens. The parks have lost their former popularity, and the contestants will have to think about whether it can be returned. The task is to design the gates of the main entrance to the Kvarnbaken park in the suburbs of Stockholm. The works of the participants must be potentially realizable and correspond to the mission of the competition - to attract modern citizens to full-fledged live communication.

Spectrum of the city
The illustration is provided by the organizing committee of the Art-Ovrag festival. Anyone, regardless of age and profession, can take part in the competition. The task is to create sketches of drawings that can decorate the facades of two buildings in Vyksa. The preferred color scheme has already been chosen by the residents of the city. The winners will not only receive cash prizes, but their projects will be implemented.

CTBUH 2016 international student competition
Image: ctbuh.org The goal of the competition is to shape a new perspective on the meaning and value of high-rise buildings in modern society. Skyscrapers should not only serve as examples of successful shaping or unique design, but also, according to the organizers, contribute to the development of an environmentally friendly and sustainable architectural environment.
Contestants can choose a site for design on their own, anywhere in the world. However, this should be a "real" site, the features of which must be taken into account in the project. The functional program and size of the skyscraper project are at the discretion of the participants.

The future of the New York State Pavilion
