This week, Kommersant published an interview between the architectural critic Alexei Tarkhanov and the French architect Dominique Perrault, whose project won the competition for a new stage at the Mariinsky Theater 10 years ago, but was never implemented. In the conversation, Perrault once again touched upon the history of the three-year design. He also answered the question who, in his opinion, is to blame for the fact that the “golden dome” was not built: “For me, of course, Gergiev. He could do everything, he was omnipotent, it was enough for him to say "I want such a theater", and the theater would be built."

By the way, one of these days another new theater stage was opened in St. Petersburg - the stage of the Alexandrinsky Theater, which has already earned approving marks in the press. Art1 published a report from Alexandrinka, flatteringly describing the building as "a modern building that appeared in the historic center, and at the same time did not become a bogeyman encroaching on the traditional appearance of the city."

Also during the week Art1 presented to the readers' attention the manifesto of Nikita Yavein. The architect complained that in Russia the role of the architect in the construction process is minimized, nevertheless, the responsibility for the result is ultimately placed on him. He said that he “finds it funny when we invite architectural stars. It's just indecent. Star architecture is over, it is no longer recognized in Europe, and in other countries too. He also presented the concept of an “ideal city” with a comfortable living environment, developed by his bureau.

Meanwhile, while the competition for the concept of a park in Zaryadye is being held in the capital, the Architecture and Time magazine published an alternative project for the development of this territory. The author of the project considers it inappropriate to give all the space for the park, explaining this both by the location of the territory at a distance from residential areas, and by the seasonality of park life. He proposes to equip a city block with multi-storey buildings in Zaryadye by holding a competition and entrusting the design of different parts of the territory to different architects: “As a result of the project implementation, we will get a unique district in Zaryadye, in the design of which at least 75 author groups can take part. architecture.

By the way, the fate of one of the central urban areas is being decided in Perm, where this week architects and public figures discussed options for the reconstruction of the esplanade. According to the portal properm.ru, the participants in the discussion came to a consensus on the need to develop a reconstruction concept, which, at a minimum, would have to limit construction on the esplanade and increase the number of green spaces.

Well, it remains to be hoped that over time, in addition to round tables of specialists and active citizens, the issues of the qualitative development of urban areas will be systematically addressed by specialists-urbanists. The current state of urbanism in Russia, which is still just an ideology, says one of the authors of UrbanUrban.ru.

In the meantime, high-quality urban planning in our country has every chance of development, - says the author of the article published in the journal "Construction Technologies". The author's optimism was prompted by the invitation to the Moscow Architectural Council of the German architect Hans Stiman, who at one time coordinated the large-scale reconstruction of Berlin, and to date, under his chairmanship, 2 international competitions have been held in the capital. The author sums up that “through the mouth of the new leadership of the Moskomarkhitektura, competitive design with international participation is proclaimed a daily norm. Whether foreign designers will want to continue to take an active part in Moscow's urban planning activities and how fruitful their role will be - this largely depends on the adviser to the chief architect of Moscow, Hans Stiman."

Rustam Rakhmatullin, coordinator of Arkhnadzor, spoke in an interview with Novaya Gazeta about the policy of the new leadership of the capital (including the mayor and chief architect), but this time with regard to heritage sites.

Meanwhile, urging the authorities to pay attention to the crumbling monument of constructivism, the Museum of Architecture began collecting signatures under an appeal to Mayor Sobyanin for saving the long-suffering Melnikov House, RIA Novosti reported. Also, the museum has opened an exhibition of projects participating in the competition for the concept of a museum in the House. Afisha offered its readers interviews with the authors of six concepts, who spoke about their ideas in more detail.

And in conclusion, a few words about the change in the fate of two Moscow estates. During the week Rossiyskaya Gazeta reported that the Moscow Archcouncil had approved the restoration project for the Ostankino estate. And "RIAN Real Estate" reported that the authorities of the Moscow region have finally fixed the exact boundaries of the estate "Arkhangelskoye".
