This house, with an area of only 208 square meters, is a completely independent power system that does not require the cost of maintaining a comfortable indoor temperature. The architects were able to achieve this with the help of a well-thought-out planning solution, an optimal combination of materials and special engineering systems.

First of all, the location of the volume on the site deserves attention - it has the shape of an elongated trapezoid in plan, composed of two not quite equal halves, it is oriented strictly along the north-south axis. As the authors of the project themselves admit, the architectural image of the house "grew" out of its immediate surroundings, which is dominated by modernist buildings.

Geometry and brutality are really inherent in Comfort House - it consists of two trumpets or "hoods" of rectangular cross-section, lined with dark gray Danish bricks.

Having come up with such a form, C. F. Møller Architects not only achieved the continuity of the architectural appearance, but also ensured an optimal microclimate inside the house. The fact is that its northern facade, that is, the rear wall of the "hood", is completely deaf, while the southern one is, on the contrary, glazed as much as possible.

From the inside, the house is sheathed with natural wood, while a large open terrace is made of wood, also facing south. The architects deliberately extend the roof in such a way that a full-fledged visor appears over the terrace - without interfering with the maximum natural illumination of the interior, it protects the transparent wall from overheating and direct rays of the active summer sun.

Effective thermal insulation of all enclosing surfaces and the use of specially made double-glazed windows, as well as heat recovery installations, allow you to minimize heat loss in this house during the cold season and make it comfortably cool in the midst of the summer heat.
