Black Rock City Master Plan
Illustration: burningman.com The competition gives everyone the opportunity to dream up what Black Rock City, a Nevada city that only exists eight days a year, should look like during the Burning Man Festival. Participants can offer both individual elements of the city structure and a general concept of the territory planning. Every year the city grows up in the desert and functions fully. There are clubs, bars, restaurants, post office, police, emergency services. At the end of the festival, there is no trace of Black Rock City, the city is completely dismantled, most of the objects are burned. You can view examples of master plans from previous years here.

Warsaw and Voskhod. Redevelopment
Image: kudago.com The organizers of the competition set before the participants the task of developing projects for the renovation of the Soviet cinemas "Warsaw" and "Voskhod" and the creation of community centers on their basis. Today the premises of both buildings are outdated and not used for their intended purpose.
The competition will be held in two stages. The first one is portfolio selection, following which 5 finalists will be selected to work on concepts.

Orthodox church project
The purpose of the competition is to form a culture of modern temple building. The task for the participants is to design an Orthodox church with a parish complex. In addition to the church itself, the project should include household, educational, charitable, utility rooms / buildings. According to the results of the competition, nine best works will be selected, the authors of which will receive a monetary reward.

Akamas landscape: between science and mythology

Participants are invited to analyze the landscape of the Akamas Peninsula and present their vision of the development of eco- and educational tourism on its territory, as well as propose the concept of an open-air observatory.
