The development of the German company Dornbracht, which has been the trendsetter in the field of water technology for over 60 years, rely on prestigious hotel chains around the world. Russia is no exception - now Dornbracht equipment can be seen in the new hotel of the prestigious five-star Four Seasons chain, which opened in October 2014 in Moscow. This is the second Four Seasons hotel in Russia to choose Dornbracht plumbing fixtures for its rooms. The Four Seasons Lion Palace Hotel in St. Petersburg, which opened its doors in 2013, has also relied on Dornbracht: classic design fittings from the Madison series are installed in the bathrooms of the rooms.
The legendary Moscow Hotel, known in the Soviet years as a bulwark of luxury, has found a second life in the Four Seasons Hotel Moscow project. During the reconstruction, a replica of the hotel building was created, built in 1930 by the outstanding architect Alexei Shchusev. The designers of Richmond International (London) have created a modern homage to the historical interior, completely bringing it in line with the needs of the 21st century. The spacious marble bathrooms are equipped with MEM and Tara Classic taps and the innovative ATT Vertical Shower from Dornbracht.
In the MEM series, aquatic equipment becomes, above all, a link between humans and the architecture of space. "Mem" in Esperanto means "myself". The form is deliberately reduced to a minimum, the sensory experiences of a person from contact with water are brought to the fore. In addition, the word “meme” hides a deeper concept: what in biological evolution is called genes. A meme is a unit of cultural information, an idea, a symbol, a kind of prototype. Indeed, MEM, having appeared in 2003, became the founder of a new typology of mixers, simple, clean, minimalist forms that do not distract attention from the main thing - the pleasure of taking water procedures.
The Tara mixer, developed by Sieger Design in 1992, has become one of Dornbracht's most successful models, cementing the company's reputation as a leader and trendsetter in the industry. It was the first two-valve mixer on the market, where single-lever mixers were previously dominant. The progressive Tara concept has become the archetype of modern bathroom sets. Tara has received many international design awards and has often been imitated and literally copied. The elegant and discreet mixers of the Tara line create spatial harmony and provide space for an infinite variety of architectural solutions.
In the Vertical Shower, different spray types are combined in numerous scenarios. Water falls on the body in large pearl drops or in a powerful stream, creating a unique relaxing or stimulating effect. The Ambiance Tuning Technique (ATT), developed and patented by Dornbracht, allows the creation of individual shower programs (or in Dornbracht terminology, “rituals”) of showering using specific temperature and volume settings.
