The new building is located in Confluence, the former industrial zone at the confluence of the Rhone and Sona, now turning into a multifunctional development area. Many buildings there were originally conceived as attractions, one of the most striking in the literal and figurative sense - "Orange Cube" Jakob + MacFarlane. It was implemented in 2010, but only last month its twin brother, the bright green block of the Euronews headquarters, was completed.

It is also located on the Rambeau promenade, and both buildings were conceived at the same time - in 2005, when Jakob + MacFarlane won the competition for their concept. Both have perforated facades with large holes, but in the case of Euronews, the building solution is more “individualized” - which is expected when the customer is not a bank or a foundation, but a TV channel.

The two holes on the façade facing Sonya should resemble two eyes: this is not only a building "looking" at the surrounding landscape, but also Euronews journalists documenting world events. The façade, with an outer layer of green perforated aluminum panels, is, according to the architects, a response to the color of the water in the Sonja. Its pattern is the contribution of their co-author, artist Fabrice Hyber. For him, green is the color of communication, and on the facade he depicted sound waves and water flows.

At the same time, the original appearance of the building is quite functional. The "patterned" panels protect the interior from overheating, and the niches-"eyes" are actually the lower parts of the two atriums, in section resembling a sundial curved at the "waist". Like their open to the sky tops, they bring light and fresh air into the building (natural ventilation is provided there around the clock, because Euronews operates 24/7). Employees of the TV channel (there are 800 of them) can always relax on the balconies surrounding the atriums and admire the river or the sky. On the top floor, the building is surrounded by a terrace.

The first floor is occupied by public functions, above there are 6 tiers of work areas. The two lower floors are occupied by a newsroom (newsroom) with an area of 450 m2 with 77 workstations, above there are television studios, including one per 100 m2. The roof has 23 satellite dishes of different sizes.

The dimensions of the building are 50 mx 30 mx 30 m. The budget was 50 million euros, of which 30 were spent on construction, and 20 on equipment.
