Ed Holloway of Consarc, along with Bruce Gilchrist and Jo Jo Joelson, chose Kings Wood near Ashford for his installation.
By the end of September, a bird house will be erected there in the form of the Roman palace EUR Marcello Piacentini, and its arches will vary in size from 5 to 50 cm in width, so that inhabitants of different sizes can settle in the art object.
It is also planned to install a roost there for birds of prey in the form of Boris Iofan's Palace of Soviets, turned upside down. In this form, according to the authors, it resembles a "huge chandelier."
The third building - another "birdhouse" - will imitate the appearance of the huge "House of the Republic", built by Ceausescu in Bucharest; its volume will be formed from separate blocks with many holes.
The installation is titled "Super Kingdom" and focuses on the [negative] impact of growing cities on the surrounding forests.
