Plasticity - parametric design competition

Photo: www.tex-fab.net Everyone understands the meaning of the word "plasticity" when it comes to art, design or architecture. But this concept is also used in biology, as the ability of an organism to exist in an environment with a wide range of properties, that is, to adapt to the changing qualities of the environment. It is within the framework of this value that the contestants will have to work.
The goal of this competition is to develop a parametric design, which will then be implemented using digital production methods (3D printing, etc.) and placed in the lobby of the College of Architecture in Houston. Please note that the jury for the competition includes Greg Lynn, one of the most famous representatives of the digital architecture movement.

d3 Natural Systems - International Architecture Competition 2014
One of the works that received an honorable mention in the competition "d3 Natural Systems 2013" Competitors are invited to analyze, document and use the influence of nature on architecture, interiors and industrial design. It is assumed that a building is not just a form, but also certain functions, not only utilitarian, but also social and environmental.
The works must be technically feasible, although they may contain elements of the fantastic architecture of the future. Projects are accepted of any scale and typology.

Development of the central squares of Moscow. Outlook 2014
Within the framework of the Perspective 2014 festival, a competition will be held aimed at developing public spaces in the Golden Ring of Moscow - the squares around the Kremlin. First, the participants need to have time to send their portfolios to the organizers. Then, after the teams have been formed, the participants will develop projects to revitalize 5 central squares and turn them into a comfortable and developed tourist and recreational zone. In addition to teamwork, individuals can also participate in the competition.

Euramax competition: design of the factory building
Euramax is an aluminum composite panel manufacturer.
The bidders are invited to design one of the facades of the factory building in the Netherlands (the surface area of the facade is 200 m2). This will need to be done, of course, using Euramax products - new Aludesign panels. Organizers' requirements - the facade should be bright, memorable and maximally represent the capabilities of the company's products.

Porcelain stoneware in architecture 2014
Photos provided by the organizers. For the third year in a row Estima Ceramica and RIA "ARD" are holding the "Porcelain Gres in Architecture" competition. Participants can choose one of three nominations: facade, residential interiors, public interiors, and present to the jury a concept or a completed project using any material from the Estima product line. There is also a special nomination in the competition - “design print on porcelain stoneware for residential and commercial interiors”.
